The church of St Paraskevi stands on Panayır Street in Beykoz and was built in 1852. It is a masonry building with a tiled roof. According to a mid-20th-century description, the wooden vaulted ceiling rests on eight wooden columns, the floor is of marble and the wooden iconostasis is painted white, with carved decoration. Until 1937 the church was lit by oil lamps and candles; in that year electricity was installed through a donation. In 2011 services were not held every Sunday but in rotation with the churches of Paşabahçe and Kandilli.
