The Church of the Taxiarchs in Balat, also known as Saint Stratios, stands on Ayan Caddesi in the Ayvansaray neighbourhood of Fatih. Its earliest known mention is in the Tryphon List of 1583. The present church was rebuilt after damage from fires and reopened for worship in 1833.

The church garden contains two holy springs (ayazma), dedicated to Saint Nicholas and to the Archangel Michael. The same garden is shared with a Greek Orthodox primary school that no longer operates.
